Take a look at sample electricity bill of SNDL electricity supply company, Nagpur, Maharashtra.Every state has its own meter fixes charges and varies according to its connected load and phase of the connection. Fixed charges with single phase connection are lower than three phase.
Fixed cost of electricity according to each state of India are listed below
|Maharashtra||Fixed charges of Rs 55 for single phase connection and Rs 160 for three phase connection|
|Gujarat||Surat - Fixed Charges are Rs 25 for single phase and Rs 60 for three phase connections. |
Ahmedabad - Fixed Charges are Rs 25 for single phase and Rs 60 for three phase connections.
Fixed charges are Rs 15 if connected load is less than 2 kW. Rs 25 if connected load is between 2 to 4 kW. Rs 45 if connected load is between 4 to 6 kW. And Rs 65 for load above 6kW.
|Rajasthan||Minimum Fixed charge of Rs 200 per month for consumption less than 150 units, Rs 220 per month for consumption between 150-300 units, Rs 265 per month for consumption between 300-500 units and Rs 285 per month for consumption above 500 units|
|Karnataka||Rs 25 for 1st kW and Rs 35 per kW for every additional kW of connected load.|
|Delhi||Rs 40 for connected load of 0 to 2 kW. Rs 100 for connected load of 2 to 5 kW and Rs 20 per kW for connected load above 5 kW.|
|Haryana||Fixed Charges are Rs 100 per kW for 1st 2 kW and additional Rs 60 per kW after 2 kW.|
|Uttar pradesh||Fixed Charges of Rs 90 per kW of connected load.|
|Bihar|| For Single Phase connection with up to 7 kW of connected load, fixed charges are Rs 55 for 1st kW and additional Rs 15 for each additional kW. Minimum Monthly Charges are Rs 40 for 1st kW and Rs 20 for each additional kW. |
For Three Phase connection with 5 kW to 20 kW connected load, fixed charges are Rs 250 for 1st 5 kW and additional Rs 15 for each additional kW. Minimum Monthly Charges are Rs 40 for 1st kW and Rs 20 for each additional kW.
|Andhra Pradesh||Slab rates are different for connected load less than 0.5 kW and more than 0.5 kW |
Meter Rent is Rs 25 for single phase connection for connected load less than 0.5 kW and is Rs 50 for connected load more than 0.5 kW.
Meter Rent is Rs 150 for Three Phase Connection.
|Madhya Pradesh||If monthly units consumption is between 101 and 300, fixed charges are Rs 75 for each 0.5 kW of connected load. If monthly units consumption is between 301 and 500, fixed charges are Rs 80 for each 0.5 kW of connected load. If monthly units consumption is above 500, fixed charges are Rs 85 for each 0.5 kW of connected load. |
|uttarkhand||Fixed Charges of Rs 35 per month for connected load less than 4 kW and Rs 90 per month for connected load more than 4 kW.|
|Punjab||Monthly Minimum Charges are Rs 52 per kW for connected load less than 50 kW and Rs 47 per kW if connected load is more.|
|Chattisgarh|| Single phase connection is for up to 2 kW load and monthly minimum charges are Rs 30. |
Three phase connection is from 2 kW to 20 kW load and monthly minimum charges are Rs 100
|West bengal||Fixed Charges of Rs 15 per kW of connected load.|
|Kerala||Fixed Charges of Rs 20 per month for single phase connection and Rs 60 per month for three phase connection.|

Fixed meter charges + Electricity Duty(16%) + Electricity Tax(Total units X 1.18) + Electricity Charges by Tariff
